Two wildly different yet connected worlds co-existed in silence, taking a space in two parallel universes with one major difference...
...only one possessed a Mana Filter - a powerful tool of nature which allowed elements otherwise unnoticed to be accessed and understood.
In time, Earth and Aethem appeared. These worlds were not fated to stay apart, however, and two scientists in Aethem developed a gateway to bring a human subject to their home.
It wasn't long before those beings and their human guest realized the extent of the worlds' connections. The structure of government, ideals and cultures bore obvious similarities. Avrelle, the younger of the two scientists, was overjoyed with the thought of pursuing diplomatic relations... unfortunately, the leaders he served under were much more interested in a powerful, formerly unfiltered and unused element present on Earth, wasted within the bodies of few of the members within the human populace - including the guest so eagerly brought for study.
Cassandra, the only human on Aethem, felt powerless in the many decisions that affected her.
Could Avrelle's influence challenge the course of what Cassandra had long deemed to be her fate?
Good and Evil, Devils and Angels, Heroes and Villains...
Time and time again, stories explore these conflicts in all different manners.
In the world of Talveire, intelligent beings known as Shadows and Eiphyrs exist in separated societies scattered over the land, only coming together in masqueraded forms to trade and speak within Sanctuary cities. These beings are far too different to ever dream of truly coexisting, and this truth is held among both groups. It is strong in lore, and written in law.
A young Shadow by the name of Zota lived within a small village resting in the forest. He'd never ventured outside, only hearing secondhand tales from the older villagers of Eiphyrs. Their untouchable light, their wings feathered and pure... their merciless acts against a Shadow that dare reveal itself. Zota struggled to contain his masqueraded state, and dared not venture from his home, lest he be discovered by an Eiphyr.
Though, upon learning the truth of his village's prosperity, it became clear what needed to be done. He took it upon himself to cleanse his village of sin, and with that, he left.
Zota's mind, body and soul were stained. Yet, a traveler named Belle took notice of the wandering man, and convinced him to accompany her to the next Sanctuary city. However, as events proceeded, Zota's life course only became further intertwined with Belle's. Keeping composed and hidden was taxing, and Belle couldn't be swayed from her desire to reach the Cettan Sanctuary... which, due to the constructs guarding it, seemed like a death wish.
It didn't help to discover that Belle also happened to be an Eiphyr.
